hi, i’m akshay π
i’m a software engineer based in lemgo, germany, building scalable systems that (mostly) don’t crash and solve real-world problems. i document what breaks, so you don’t have to.
lately, i’ve been diving into agentic software development, mcp-style architectures, and building software that builds software. i’m also exploring how llms, api-first systems, and open infra can reshape modern development.
and yes β i β€οΈ open source.
i write code, ship containers, and automate things i’m too lazy to do twice. from open-source tools to cloud-native platforms, i love turning chaos into clean, scalable pipelines.
currently, i’m focused on:
- cloud-native development β docker, kubernetes, azure, microservices
- devops & ci/cd β github actions, infrastructure as code, observability
- distributed systems β backend services, real-time data, event-driven pipelines
- ai + automation β agentic workflows, llm toolchains, mcp experiments
- open research & open source β prototyping, simulation tooling, community-driven projects
my journey
- 2025βpresent: software engineer @ monocab (research assistant), th-owl β lemgo, germany
- 2023β2025: devops engineer (working student) @ delta3 gmbh/th-owl β lemgo, germany
- 2021β2022: senior software engineer ii @ john deere β pune, india
- 2018β2021: systems engineer @ tata consultancy services β pune, india
- 2022β2025: msc. in information technology β th owl, lemgo, germany
- 2013β2017: b.eng. in electronics & telecom β amravati university, india
what i believe
- ship fast, learn faster β perfect is the enemy of shipped
- help others grow β knowledge compounds when shared
- stay curious β build with the new, break it before it breaks you
- build in public β share your work, your process, and your bugs
when i’m not coding
- reading tech blogs, docs, and books i’ll forget but bookmark again later
- writing and documenting what i learn (mostly so i don’t forget)
- watching mkbhd, linus tech tips, and jeff geerling like they’re mentors
- tinkering with my homelab and self-hosting things i probably don’t need
- mixing music while pretending i’m not debugging in the background
- helping friends automate their life (and occasionally mine)
- overthinking slide fonts like they’ll win a design award
- hacking raspberry pis into things they’re not supposed to be
